Ichiko kicks off the episode with her luck going her way as usual, until a shoplifter collides with her until a series of unfortunate events resulted in the police assuming that Ichiko was the shoplifter. Rindou then makes her appearance and was then deemed to be the perpetrator of the shoplifting because of Ichiko's cunning attribute.

We then get to delve more into Rindou as she gets introduced into the same class as Ichiko, who tries to put up a disguise after leaving Rindou for dead in the previous scene. Rindou recognizes Ichiko almost immediately and showing off her tomboyish side, challenges Ichiko to a physical duel.

It was clear enough that Ichiko and Rindou did not get along together very well but that relationship eased out a little as the show progresses.

Ichiko and Momiji realized that Rindou had been head over heels over Keita, similar to how Ichiko felt for him and both Ichiko and Momiji proposed to have a makeover for Rindou so that she would look more appealing to guys and most importantly, Keita.

Things were going pretty well, until family issues come into play. Rindou's father owned a dojo and wanted his offspring to take his place once he retires. The only problem was, Rindou was a girl, and the only child that he has. Making the most of that, Rindou's father trained her to be stronger so that she can live up to her father's expectations. Rindou only had a father to care about and hence, decided to go with the flow. That would explain her tomboyish nature and her desire to get involved in a couple of fights.

Ichiko, being a worrywart for others, decided to tell Rindou's father. Having a bad family experience herself, it felt painful for her to listen to Rindou's story and not do anything about it. She then confronted Rindou's father following a duel that resulted to going Ichiko's way, given how much luck was on her side. Ichiko pointed out her views in a very forceful tone and her punch almost made its way to Rindou's father before Rindou herself blocked off the punch and told Ichiko that Rindou's father had done a lot for her.

The episode ended off with a livelier mood as always and yet another comedy short appeared after the ending credits, showing off how great this anime is in terms of comedy, of course. Not to leave much of Momiji out of this, she was pretty relaxed and enjoying herself, probably enjoying too much of it that she had not done much to try and take out as much luck (not sure how I would phrase this, really) from Ichiko as she was tasked to do. And in case you were wondering if I had managed to get a glimpse of Nadeshiko's appearance in the show, I didn't!
