If the first two episodes were the light-hearted introduction episodes, then this third episode serves as the sweet transitional episode where things begin to change to a more serious tone, while still maintaining a level of comedy we're familiar with. Aspects of comedy, romance, and the usual assorted quirks that come along with those two genres are present, which always makes for an enjoyable shoujo romance comedy.

The first half of the episode brought in two new characters who were introduced in previous episodes. Natsume and Sasayan, the two side characters with interesting personalities, are integrated flawlessly into the storyline, really strengthening the basis of Shizuku and Haru's relationship and slice-of-life aspect of the show. As playful and aloof as Sasayan may seem, he's really affirmed his role as someone who does take responsibility and is rather dependable. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm definitely getting hints of Natsume x Sasayan, since the two complement each other so well.

Who the hell builds a chicken coop in a shoujo anime? First with Yamaguchi barfing her guts out, now this? Please, this is too much for me to handle. Hilarity ensues and I die of laughter.

As far as the romance aspect goes, Shizuku is able to address her position with Haru in the relationship, finally confessing her love to Haru and suggesting they start over again, which will enable Haru to take things more seriously. Shizuku's personality is really growing at quite a steady pace, and seeing her completely open up to Haru is definitely a big plus.

It seems like we'll be seeing another new character soon, who seems to be Haru's brother. We have drama in the forecast!

Good day.
